Dr. Beth Hochstein, Founder/Director

Beth Hochstein founded Dance Party For Parkinson’s, Inc. after receiving her own diagnosis of young-onset Parkinson’s disease at the age of 37. Beth was a podiatrist and foot surgeon, in private practice with her husband. With her Parkinson’s symptoms worsening she retired from her career as a podiatrist and became a member of Team Fox, the fundraising group for The Michael J. Fox Foundation. Over the next several years, Beth took her love of dance and combined her passion with her fundraising efforts. She organized several dance and fitness related events and received the support of Zumba® corporate to organize an 800 person event in Roseland Ballroom in New York City.

In 2017, Dance Party For Parkinson’s became an official non-profit and with the help of her family and board members-she has raised over $100,000 for Parkinson’s research. In addition, the organization founded and supports the largest dance program on Long Island for people living with PD

Jodi Harouche

Jodi is the Chief Creative Officer and Co-Founder of Multimedia Plus, a creatively driven technology firm. She leads all aspect of design with a focus on the clients’ business objectives. Jodi is working with clients such as Coach, Tiffany & co., Michael Kors and David’s Bridal.

Recognized as a thought leader in the retail industry, Jodi has been a guest speaker at numerous industry events and published several industry articles.

Sharon Epstein

Sharon is a NY State Licensed Creative Arts Therapist and a Yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance. She received her master’s degree in Dance Movement Therapy from Hunter College. She participated in the Dance for Parkinson’s Disease teacher training with the Mark Morris Dance Group based in Brooklyn, NY, where she met Dr. Beth Hochstein, the founder of Dance Party for Parkinson’s, Inc.

Sharon loves participating as a guest teacher with the Dance Party for Parkinson’s, Inc, leading classes on Long Island at the Mid Island JCC in Plainview and at the Sid Jacobson JCC in Greenvale. She is also on faculty with the MMDG Dance for PD program and can be found teaching classes at Northwell, Glen Cove Hospital.

Amy Boshnack

Amy Boshnack has worked with some of the biggest media brands in the world, from MSNBC to New York and Cosmopolitan magazines to Animal Planet and Science Channels. She is an expert in strategizing dynamic content, social best practices, video and digital content marketing efforts, partnerships, and more.

Boshnack has led the launch of a variety of successful web properties for WEtv.comAMCtv.com, and CafeMom. Most recently she was the Chief Content Officer at LovedToKnow.com and currently consults with technology start-ups.

Amy lives in New York with her husband, two kids, and three pups and is passionate about Dance Party for Parkinson’s mission.

Dr. Alec Hochstein

Dr. Alec Hochstein, the “iPodiatrist™” is a 1997 graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, and is currently in private practice in Great Neck, N.Y., on Long Island’s North Shore, where he lives with his wife and two children.

Dr. Hochstein maintains a full-time Podiatry practice, Prine Podiatry, with emphasis on Palliative Foot Care, Diabetic Foot Care, Orthotic Fabrication, Trauma, and Reconstructive Foot Surgery. In addition to his private practice.

Dr. Hochstein is Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
Dr. Hochstein maintains other interests in areas of physical fitness and nutrition, as well as Internet technology and social media marketing. He has lectured both locally and nationally on various topics related to both medicine and technology in the medical office.

Dr. Alec Hochstein, most of all, is the husband to the founder of this organization, Dr. Beth Hochstein. It has been life-changing for him. His biggest goal is to provide love and support for his wife and be hopeful that one day a cure will be found.

Jenifer Weinberg, Esq.

Jenifer Weinberg is the founding member of Weinberg Law PLLC, a New York based law firm. She concentrates her practice in corporate and nonprofit law. She has extensive experience representing public and private companies on a wide range of legal issues, including formation, organization corporate governance, transactions and contracts.

Jenifer received her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in Economics, from Brandeis University.

Pete Scarlata

After over a decade working in music education, Pete has leveraged his creative and marketing backgrounds into a variety of consulting roles as of late – mainly focusing in emerging music-related AI technology. Also an experienced audio engineer and content creator, Pete has been awarded numerous entertainment industry awards over the last few years, including a Webby Award and MTV Music Video Award.

The mission of Dance Party for Parkinson’s truly resonates with Pete, and he is thrilled to be a part of the organization and its growth.
